The project

Mezcali is more than a mezcal. Sourced from agave along the west coast of North America, Mezcali is a celebration of every culture, every tradition, every indigenous plant and animal that spans the beautiful coastline.

The identity we created employs a ribbon of flags, each representing a facet of what we began to call The Great North American Pacific Coastline. This, along with other messaging, was crafted to mythologize the coast as a region, with Mezcali serving as one of its custodians.
